It had already been many years since close professional relations were forged with Fagor Arrasate, a cooperative with over 800 workers and an international market leader. For this reason, the acknowledgment fills us with satisfaction.

The prize acknowledges the excellence in quality, compliance with delivery terms and competitiveness that MITXELENA achieved in 2017. To FAGOR ARRASATE S. Coop., the good performance of its suppliers and their support in the significant development and growth of the company is a priority. This has given it a cutting-edge position of international leadership in the field of machine tools for deformation, particularly mechanical and hydraulic presses, cutting lines, metal processing systems and special systems for the manufacture of complex sheet material parts.

Fagor Arrasate 

In token of this relationship, the prize was received by recently-retired Jose Antonio Garcia, one of the founders of the Mitxelena Cooperative. The Fagor Arrasate partners underscored the company experience of over 50 years in the sector, for which Jose Antonio Garcia stands as a clear example. He was accompanied during the ceremony by Mitxelena purchasing manager and product developer, Ibon Aristizabal.

One of Mitxelena’s signs of identity is its personalised dealings with its clients and, along with this, the development of unique and customised products. For this same reason, we feel very proud of this acknowledgment of our work and the quality involved in doing it. Moreover, we believe that this prize strengthens our values, particularly since it comes from cooperative labour.
